This is a special work! A collaboration. It came to life based on an idea by illustrator / cultural scientist Andreas Rauth. Starting point were some musical creations by Sonic Ensemble, which were collectively chosen and worked as templates for the free, creative spirit of four visually and technically gifted artists. The goal was an exhibition, which happend in 2013 (14. - 27.9.) at the Berlin gallery “Erstererster”.
The music got an interpretation through the art, which was exhibited. The connection between both could be experienced with headphones at the place.
About the idea “Im Vorraum der Erzählung” (Andreas Rauth): (excerpt)
“How can the production of narrations be shaped in times of instant real-time emissions, refusing to follow the dictation of daily up-to-dateness?
The exhibition “Im Vorraum der Erzählung” targets at the representation of creative processes and methods, which are necessary for development of extensive, fictious narrations. (…) The works shall show essential ingredients for a never executed narration considering a reflection on the music by Sonic Ensemble / Thomas Kallweit, which is - as a slip box - part of the preparation.
(..)Task is to combine music and pictures in an expansive installation.”
The music can be interpreted in several ways - under this directive:
“the body of speech” - as an opener is for its short duration almost blithering, indicating lots without writing it out.

“international holy mass of perception disorder” points to a state in a not defined time, which eventually can appear menacing and
through some generously put intervals some torpors can be revealed. Anything but a fluent narration..

“melanie simon wants” could be seen as a short, naive hint - like a small, flashing blossom

“uncertain gate (adagio tranquillo allegro lento)” - this could be some intermediate world or one happening after narration is finished

“search - find - delete” - this is finishing the series with a nearly two-hours lasting, very slow moving world, which could eventually
be assigned to the feeling of a amoeba or a primeval, primitive life form - assumed that this sort of perception could be displayed as
Noise. Does life develop further or is it a regression?

Dies ist ein besonderes Werk! Eine Gemeinschaftsarbeit. Einer Idee entsprungen vom Illustrator und Kulturwissenschaftler Andreas Rauth. Basierend auf akustischen Schöpfungen von Sonic Ensemble, die kollektiv ausgewählt wurden und sodann als Vorlage dienten, um dem freien, gestalterischen Geist von vier bildnerisch und technisch versierten Künstlern einen Raum zu geben in Form einer Ausstellung, die in Berlin stattfand.
Im Jahre 2013 (14. - 27.September) in der Berliner Galerie “erstererster”.
Die Musik wurde durch die dort exponierten Kunstwerke interpretiert.
Vor Ort erlebbar, indem sich die Werke ansehen ließen und parallel die Musik zugänglich war via Kopfhörer.
Zur Idee des “Vorraums der Erzählung”(Andreas Rauth):(Auszug)
“Wie gestaltet sich in Zeiten unablässiger Echtzeit-Aussendung die Produktion von Erzählungen, die sich dem Diktat der Tagesaktualität verweigern?
Die Ausstellung Im Vorraum der Erzählung zielt auf die Darstellung der kreativen Prozesse und Methoden, die für die Entwicklung umfangreicher fiktionaler Erzählungen notwendig sind.(…) In Auseinandersetzung mit der Musik von Sonic Ensemble/Thomas Kallweit, die als eine Art akustischer Zettelkasten schon Teil der Vorbereitung ist,sollen die Arbeiten notwendige Bestandteile für eine nie ausgeführte Erzählung zeigen. (…) Ziel ist es, Musik und Bild in einer raumgreifenden Installation zu verbinden.”
Die Musik lässt sich gemäß der Konzeptidee auf verschiedene Weisen deuten:
“the body of speech” eröffnet hier, ist für seine kurze Dauer beinahe schon geschwätzig, deutet vieles an ohne tatsächlich weiter auszuformulieren.

“international holy mass of perception disorder” deutet auf einen Zustand in unbestimmter Zeit, der eher bedrohlich wirkt, dabei durch großzügige Pausen beinah Erstarrungszustände entbirgt, alles andere als eine flüssige Erzählung.

“melanie simon wants” ist eine kurze, naive Andeutung wie eine kleine, aufblitzende Blüte.

“uncertain gate (adagio tranquillo allegro lento)” wiederum kann eine Zwischenwelt sein oder aber auch eine, nachdem die Erzählung, was war, bereits abgeschlossen ist.

“search - find - delete” beendet die Reihe mit einer beinahe zweistündigen, sich sehr langsam ändernden Welt, die von dem was geschieht, durchaus etwa dem Empfinden einer Amöbe / einer urzeitlichen, primitiven Lebensform zugerechnet werden könnte, gingen wir davon aus, dass diese Wahrnehmung in Schall ausgegeben würde.
Entwickelt sich Leben weiter oder ist es eine Rückbildung?
